psychoeducational assessment

Psycho-Educational Assessments

Comprehensive evaluations that assess an individual’s cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning to help identify learning difficulties, intellectual abilities, and emotional or behavioural challenges.

How it Works

Initial session: Usually about 30 minutes to an hour where we discuss background, areas of need, and processes.

Assessment days: Conducted over two days, during which assessments are administered using various tools such as psychometric testing, scholastic tests, psycho-motor functioning assessments, and behavioural screeners.

Feedback session: About two to three weeks after the assessment, a meeting is held with the parents or guardians to discuss findings and recommendations.

adult adhd assessment

Adult ADHD Assessments

Adult ADHD can affect attention, organisation, emotional regulation, work performance and relationships. A comprehensive Adult ADHD assessment provides clarity and understanding, helping to identify whether ADHD is present and how it impacts everyday functioning.

How it Works

Initial session: A structured clinical interview explores current concerns, developmental history and day-to-day challenges related to attention and executive functioning.

Standardised Questionnaires & Cognitive Assessment: Validated adult ADHD rating scales are used to assess attention, impulsivity and organisational skills, with additional input included where appropriate. Selected cognitive measures help evaluate attention, working memory and processing speed, and assist in differentiating ADHD from other contributing factors.

Feedback and Recommendations: Findings are integrated into clear feedback with practical, personalised recommendations to guide support, intervention and next steps.

career assessment

Career Assessments

Evaluating an individual’s interests, skills, values, and personality traits to help guide them in making informed career choices.

How it Works

Initial session: Usually about 30 minutes to discuss background and family history.

Online assessments: These take between two to three hours to complete through online questionnaires.

Feedback session: About 30 minutes of feedback based on the findings of the client’s assessments.

adult psychotherapy

Psychotherapy

Helping individuals address emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges.

How it Works

Talk therapy: A therapeutic approach where individuals engage in conversations with the therapist to explore and address emotional, mental, and behavioural challenges. It provides a safe and supportive space to discuss personal struggles, gain insight, and develop coping strategies. Talk therapy helps individuals understand their thoughts and feelings, improve relationships, and work towards emotional well-being and personal growth.

play therapy

Play Therapy

A therapeutic approach that offers children a safe and nurturing space to explore their thoughts and emotions through play—their natural language of communication.

Each session is tailored to the child’s individual developmental stage and emotional needs, allowing them to express themselves at their own pace and in ways that feel comfortable and familiar.

Within this supportive environment, a trusting relationship between the child and therapist can grow, encouraging openness and emotional healing. Through creative and imaginative play, children are able to express feelings and experiences that may be difficult to articulate in words, fostering self-understanding, confidence, and healthy coping skills.

executive functioning skills coaching

Executive Functioning Skills Coaching

Individualised, one-on-one sessions designed to help children, adolescents, and
young adults develop the practical skills needed to manage everyday demands more effectively. Sessions focus on strengthening areas such as planning, organisation, time management, working memory, task initiation, emotional regulation, study skills, and self-monitoring. The goal is to build sustainable strategies that support greater independence, confidence, and success across school, work, and daily life.

How it Works

Initial session:
Usually about 50–60 minutes, during which current challenges,
strengths, goals, and areas of executive functioning need are explored.

Skills coaching sessions: Ongoing individual sessions tailored to the individual’s needs. Practical strategies, tools, and real-life applications are introduced and practised, with support provided to develop consistency and independence over time.

Review and support: Progress is monitored regularly, with strategies adjusted as
needed. Where appropriate, recommendations and resources are provided to
support the transfer of skills across home, school, university, or work environments.
